Why Bhānumatī Yoga Training?
Bhānumatī was created from the understanding that yoga is not simply something we practise for a few hours each week, but something that gradually shapes the way we move through everyday life.
While many teacher training programmes focus primarily on anatomy, sequencing, and certification, this programme takes a more integrated approach, bringing together movement, philosophy, meditation, Ayurveda, and self-study.
Rooted in mentorship, reflection, and lived experience, the training invites students to deepen not only their understanding of yoga itself, but also their understanding of presence, balance, nourishment, community, and the wider rhythms of daily life.
More than simply working toward qualification, students are invited into a way of learning that supports both personal practice and the ability to guide others with greater steadiness, care, and authenticity.
A Mentorship-led Approach
At the heart of Bhānumatī is a mentorship-led approach shaped through years of dedicated practice, study, and real-world teaching experience.
Across the 12 months, students work closely with Gregory Angell in a supportive learning environment where the teachings are explored gradually through practice, reflection, discussion, and lived experience.
Rather than moving quickly through information, the extended structure of the programme creates space for deeper integration, supporting students in developing both confidence in their teaching and a deeper relationship with the wider philosophy and practices of yoga.
Drawing from more than two decades of study across multiple yogic traditions, Gregory’s teaching brings together movement, meditation, pranayama, philosophy, devotion, and self-inquiry in a way that encourages students to discover their own authentic relationship with the practice.
