SoulSpace Barre Teacher Training
Continuing Professional Development
Designed for movement professionals and practitioners looking to expand their teaching practice, this 40-hour Continuing Professional Development programme offers a Pilates-informed approach to Barre training, placing greater emphasis on the fundamental principles of Pilates.
Led by Nicole and Amelia, the programme integrates strength, mobility, posture, precision, breath, control and whole-body awareness, with a deeper understanding of alignment, movement quality and intelligent sequencing. Drawing on the principles of Pilates, students are encouraged to move beyond choreography alone, developing a more mindful, anatomically informed and purposeful approach to teaching Barre. With fun, creativity and a sense of challenge at its heart, the programme combines the precision of Pilates with the energy and enjoyment of Barre, equipping teachers to deliver classes that are engaging, progressive, safe and effective.
The Foundations of Pilates. The Energy of Barre. Purpose, Precision & Play.
Who is this training for?
This Barre CPD programme is designed for qualified movement professionals and teachers who would like to introduce Barre into their teaching repertoire or deepen their existing knowledge and practice.
It is particularly suited to Pilates, yoga, fitness, dance and movement teachers who want to explore the distinctive qualities of Barre while developing greater confidence in sequencing, cueing, musicality and class delivery.
You do not need to have a professional dance background to teach Barre. The programme provides a clear foundation from which teachers can develop their own style, drawing on the principles of Barre while adapting movements appropriately for the people in front of them.
Throughout the training, emphasis is placed on understanding the body rather than simply following choreography. Teachers are encouraged to explore movements in their own bodies, develop an eye for alignment and technique, and learn how to offer appropriate modifications and progressions.
