Meet Florence
Originally from the south of France, Florence’s journey into yoga began unexpectedly stepping into a 40°C Bikram yoga class without knowing quite what to expect. Dressed in warm tracksuit bottoms and a thick T-shirt, she giggled through the opening breathing exercises. But instantly, she was captivated. The heat, the intensity, the cleansing aspect of the practice awakened something deep within her.
Through hot yoga, she discovered not only strength and discipline, but also grounding, resilience, and a blossoming sense of self-love. That first practice marked a turning point. From the inside out, her life began to shift.
It quickly became clear that this path was not just for her, it was something she felt called to share. In November 2014, following her heart and after trying and practicing other yang types of yoga, Florence traveled to Bali to complete her yoga teacher training. Since then, she has shared her practice with joy, compassion, and deep reverence.
As life gently unfolded, she felt drawn toward balance and introspection, and began a dedicated Yin yoga practice.
In the stillness, she found a new kind of strength: subtle, soft, and profoundly healing. She later trained with renowned Master Yin teacher Bernie Clark, gaining deeper insight into the energetic and anatomy of the subtle body.
One quote that continues to resonate deeply with her journey is the Chinese proverb:
“Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you really are.”
In 2024, Florence expanded her inner journey further by completing a 10-day Vipassana meditation course, a profound immersion into silence and self-inquiry, that continues to inform her humble teaching and presence.
Florence offers a heart-led approach to teaching. She intends to gently guide students through the art of slowing down, teaching how to hold space, create emotional safety, and support others in deep rest and self-inquiry.
She doesn’t just teach poses, she teaches a deeply nurturing presence, offering a grounded, compassionate approach to the Art of stillness, restorative yoga and meditation. Each class becomes more than movement, it becomes a place to soften, to feel, and to remember the quiet light within.
